It is amazing to know what crises can
teach man. The entire human race goes through rough
tides in different stages of life. Yet the invaluable
lessons learnt from these testing times could be obtusely
incongruent at times. What could be most rewarding
than emerging victorious from a chaotic phase in life?
What makes it possible? Read further for an interesting
cerebration.
Preparedness. A speeding ball doesn’t strike
you hard when you try to catch it. The same ball could
totally knock you down when you are not prepared and
least expecting a speeding ball. The same holds good
for any situation in life. The more we are prepared
the less hard it strikes you.
Composure. The fishing habit
of a crane stands testimony for the power of composure.
The crane waiting in the middle of a brook often using
just one leg for reasons better left to the scholars,
would lose its prey if it loses its composure and
stance. Lack of good composure translates into lack
of confidence leading to a worse situation than it
need be.
Envisioning success. Success
is not a low hanging fruit. Its sweetness is proportional
to how far it is from our reach. The more we see ourselves
enjoying and relishing it, the more it becomes real.
After all, what more could be more motivating than
the reward itself?
Action. 'Vision without action
is a daydream. Action without vision is a nightmare.'
says the popular adage. Backing all the dreams with
focused hard work not only takes us near our goals
but also gives us lesser time to think and worry about
the seemingly bad time we are in. An arrow has no
time to waste before hitting the target once it leaves
the archer's bow.
Rejoicing. Waste no time to recognize
the end of trying times. Rejoicing is so much part
of the exercise that we cannot afford to ignore it.
It is a gentle pat on our back for all the perseverance
we had all through the bad times. It reinforces self-confidence
and more faith in what we believe and what we stand
for. We may inspire others too - we just never know!
Happy living!
