After
having lunch there on the top, (the guy in the restaurant need
to be sent for a training. He badly needs to know how a real large
Pizza would look like.) we climbed down to return to Interlaken.
Eversince, we planned to go to Switzerland, we thought of buying
a Cuckoo clock. We went hunting around for the same as
Natarajan gave some handy tips. People who had the idea of "There
is no point in wearing non-Swiss watches after visiting Switzerland",
bought them too. Obviously, this consumed a lot of time and the
poor locals (Who else but Natarajans & Vidhya. Not to leave
"Abba Abbba" fame little Meghna.) would have regretted
the day they decided to tour along with this bunch of mavericks.
The
time was already quarter past Six and we proceeded to Casino
Kursaal. Just opposite to the casino was a huge area, woven
in green and bisected by a road. The place was overlooking the
mountains and this is the place where many movies were filmed,
the Lankan, whom we met earlier in the day, had told. Perhaps,
we were a bit early for that place as the little yellow flowers
were just blooming. Had those flowers had been in full bloom,
it would have sure been a jaw dropping scenery. The visit to the
casino was not quick & short and not much money was wasted
there!
We
returned to our ho(s)tel after the dinner at McDonalds.
Lots of Indians were making use of the long weekend for travelling
to Swiss. We could spot groups of people in Interlaken itself.
Many web sites proclaim Balmer's Herberge as the best hostel
in Interlaken. Apart from the advantage of English speaking staff,
I couldn't find any reason to rate so. Of all the hostels, we
have stayed, I would rate this as my least favourite one.
I
sit by the lake on this wondrous day,
Watching the reflection of flowering trees,
Rippling past watching appreciative eyes.
Breathing
in the smell of glorious spring,
As chattering frogs and birds sing,
Their way of celebrating the new season.
The
lush green forest surrounds and protects me.
Soft fluffy white clouds in the blue sky above
Play peekaboo with the bright yellow sun.
I
feel a peaceful feeling overtaking me
And my spirits seem to soar from within
Just like the eagle circling, floating above.
The
wind softly whispers through the trees,
As I rest on the soft green bed beneath me,
Drinking it all in - glad to be one with nature.
