Choices are good, for the simple reason that you can choose. Try to imagine a world with no choices. Life will be completely different from how we think to the way we look. We were brought to this wonderful world by choice, making choice the very beginning of life. Who in their right mind would ever fathom
choices?

Think about any situation that we have been through when things were happening out of our control. Didn't we say to ourselves that had there been a choice, we wouldn't have been there? Well, it is quite natural for us to retrospect and analyze when we are in an unfavorable situation. We tend to believe that a single choice that we wish we had or recognized would have given us a better hand on the situation and even an opportunity to have turned it to our favor. We seldom repent that we didnt have choices when we rejoice. 

Choices make us feel responsible. When we choose to act in a certain way and find that it has worked well for us, we like to take all the credits for the right thing we did. We dont find enough time telling 
everyone how much we appreciate the one right move we made that has brought so much to our lives. We often project ourselves as the perfect example to illustrate how life is easier when we know what we want. What if some of our decisions made things worser? Those are hard experiences that teach a lot. We learn from them while we own whole responsibility to all our actions. That makes us happy too. We find that we were in control and we simply messed up. It in fact reinforces the belief that nothing is out of our control.

Men of yesteryears have shown us a few valuable insights about choices. Each one of them made some 
important decisions and choices in their lives that have changed the face of the earth for ever. While 
some left indelible scars the others shaped it to near perfection. Some of the great scholars did make the tough choice of sacrificing their personal lives and comforts for the sake of mankind. A number of 
philosophers chose even death when summoned to change their beliefs and teachings. Time has proven that their invaluable choices have benefitted the entire human race.

When all of us have the potential to become great and immortal, all our decisions gain due importance.
